Winner of BBNaija Lockdown season, Laycon, has alerted his fans to a fake Twitter account created in his name to scam unsuspecting fans.

Parody accounts of famous people are usually created on the micro-blogging platform. The problem is that they are often created with the purpose of duping innocent people.

Taking to his official Twitter page on Wednesday, the reality TV star drew the attention of his fans and followers to the impersonator, pleading that they disregard any information from the account.

His tweet reads:

“Hey people! This account – – >@itsIaycon (the L is actually a capital ‘i’) has been impersonating me and scamming unsuspecting people. Please disregard any private or public messages from it and report it. Thank you”
